Season start delayed… But raring to go!

So, the first game of the season was due to be this Saturday… Unfortunately the decision was taken last night that, due to the bad weather last weekend on top of months of rain, the pitch in general will not be in a fit state this weekend to play on. Thank you to those that made yourselves available, we will be able to start the season in style on Thursday night next week with the intraclub T20 game. Please remember we need two teams for this so please try your best to make yourself available, it should be a fun night and a good chance for many of you to see the changes in the club.

Instead of the game on Saturday we will be having a two hour cleaning and maintenance blitz on the ground and the club. This will start at 2pm and be followed by a net for those that want to at 4pm. Lots of people have been helping with jobs around the club over the last few weeks and we need one final push to finish things off. Any time you can spare is valuable and any time you can put in is lightening the load for others.

The website is coming along nicely, I understand there are some difficulties for some in logging in and I am trying to get these sorted out asap to make it as easy as possible for everyone to keep availability and their details up-to-date. You should now be seeing a slightly different view when you browse the site on your mobile which should make things easier especially when navigating.

Extra special thanks Jonny (Maintenance Manager) and all those putting in the late nights in the new kitchen, almost there! The fridge will be arriving tomorrow and a massive clean up was done last night meaning a lot of the kitchen equipment and glasses etc. could be stored away in their new homes. Some painting to do, a few other bits and pieces and we will be ready for the start of the season as planned.

See you Saturday,

Alex
